Infant Jesus
of Prague sanctuary

a small jewel built in the Renaissance style

The natural beauties of the region are complemented by art and culture gems
such as the Santuario del Bambino di Praga (Infant Jesus of Prague Sanctuary).

Established in 1905 by the Discalced Carmelites,
it was extended in the 1960s following an increasing flow of worshippers.
This sacred building, a few minutes away from our hotel near Genoa,
is a little gem in the Renaissance style in the shape of a Latin cross.

The façade, decorated by a large rose window, is made of marble of different colours.
Inside, find a number of piece of pottery by artist Angelo Biancini,
statues depicting San Joseph and the Virgin Mary by sculptor Guido Galletti,
as well as a majolica crib by Eliseo Salino.
